The first thing you'll do is get a starter and money. Each person will start out with $4500.

So What Do I Do First?
Head over to the Pick a Starter after you read the rest of the rules. There you may pick a starter and go on your way. After that you can write a story and catch a pokemon, try to battle someone, enter a contest, etc. I suggest first though, you try one battle or try a quick story to catch a pokemon.
So there are some starters you can and can't have... Anyway, after you have done a battle and caught a pokemon and you feel confident, you should face a GYM! GYMs may be daunting and hard, but you may be able to beat them! After a while you may even become a GYM leader yourself!
Starters
You need to pick a starter before you do anything. Someone will approve your choice and then you can post a small profile in another board!
There are a few starters you can't have though... You can't have a legendary. You can't have a pokemon in its 2nd or 3rd stage. You may only have first forms. Still there are a few pokemon you may not have...
So go and pick a starter. Then you can go on after making a profile...
Profile
You need to have a profile! Post it on the Profile board.
You will be the one to update your profile, not us so be warned. These are things you must have, but you may have other things too:

Age:
Gender:
Battles: (Win/Loss/Draw)
Pokemon:
How Much Money You Have:
Items:
Position:
Badges:
You start out as a normal trainer. You will be PMed when you can step up.
Stories
After you have a starter you are free to type up stories about how you catch a pokemon. Certain pokemon are harder to catch and require better standards and more length. Some are harder some easier. Go to the Story board and see rules for more details. FYI, you don't have the poke you try to catch in the story until someone comes and determines your goals and what you catch.
Battles
Now, the main board. Here you can post in the: NEED BATTLE, thread and see if anyone wants to battle you. Once you battle wait for someone to watch your match and determine things before you start to battle, then you take turns using moves.
You can use any move your pokemon learns through level up! There aren't levels though.
Contests
Here you enter contests. You will use moves in combos to try to impress whatever judge comes. They will see your combos and judge how inventive and pretty and cool they are. You can enter a contest in all the normal categories and an extra one.

Wisdom
Wisdom is new and is based on how wise your pokemon's moves were in that situation. A new way to do a contest. ^^
POKEMON
You can't get legendaries unless you have a reason to have one. >.> When you want a pokemon you write a story on how you caught it. The better your story is, the better chance you will be approved of your capture. Yes, you need approval before you actually have that pokemon. ^^
Another thing, some pokemon will require a longer story than others.
i.e:
Salamance will take a longer story than Caterpie.
Breeding
You can place two pokemon in the Day Care Center. There they may have an egg... They may pass down moves! Become a master breeder....
Need A Pokedex?
Go to Serebii! Just google it then click enter. After that look at the sidebar and click D/P pokedex.
GUILDS
Check them out in the Guilds section.
EGGS
When you have an egg, it will hatch 2-4 days later. SURPRISE!
Legendaries
Only those who win the Best Story Competition. (2 times a year) or the Legends of Light Tournament get a Legend. No duplicate legends. Once all are full no more legends. You can trade legends if you want too.
Trading
Want to trade? You just swap pokemon. Please record it on the Trade Thread. Then please copy+paste that pokemon from the other person's profile to yours and delete the one you traded. ^^
GYMS
Here you can face a GYM leader and face them if you win they give you a TM and a badge! Keep track of your badges! This is harder than most battles... There is also a way to be a GYM leader and there is an Eilte Four. There is one master too! Beating some will give you a badge others will give you prizes.
REWARDS AND PRIZES
You can get rewards for silly and cool things. (i.e. good trainer, most caught pokemon, best stories, best battler, worst battler, most active, most inactive, etc.)
Rewards and prizes could be pokemon, items, random things, etc.
Pay
$2000-$3500 for any help you do. Help on the story boards, battle boards, be a referee for something, help me out.
You get $3000 for winning a battle and $2000 for losing. Same for GYMS.
A draw counts as a win for money for both people. (In a draw both people get $3,000.)
Elite Four: Win: $4500 Lose: $3100
Any Tournament: Win: $5000 Lose: $2000
I will give this out every so often. (Two to three times a month.)
BUYING STUFF
When you buy stuff you loose money. Your orders will be approved after you buy them and show people how much you have left after them. A cashier will approve your order. Then you have the item(s) and may use them and say you have them by putting them in your profile.
Auctions
When there is an auction you can bid as much cash as you have. The highest one who posts gets the item/pokemon people are betting on.
